History
The academy, and the district around it.
Green Sylhet Cricket Academy, গ্রীন সিলেট ক্রিকেট একাডেমী, is a cricket academy in Sylhet. Its public pages place practice at Sylhet District Stadium, Rikabi Bazar, Sylhet, in the Teli Para, Sylhet, Bangladesh area.
The Facebook introduction says academy players take part in Sylhet first-division cricket and in Dhaka’s second and third divisions. About 9.6K people follow the page. Training is listed every day, in a morning batch and an afternoon batch.
Published reporting has called Green Sylhet the biggest cricket academy in Sylhet, and has named Rana Miah, a Bangladesh Cricket Board appointee for the district, as its coach. ESPNcricinfo, writing about Khaled Ahmed, describes a tape-ball bowler being taken to Rana Mia’s academy in Sylhet and reaching first-class cricket for the division soon after.
There is no published founding year on the public page. The academy was already playing representative matches by 2015, when it won the Zakir Qureshi Memorial T20 at this same ground.
