Green Sylhet Cricket Academy trains on the grass at Sylhet District Stadium, Rikabi Bazar. Morning and afternoon, seven days a week, for every age.
The academy
“To make a good cricketer.”
Academy players turn out in Sylhet first-division cricket and in Dhaka’s second and third divisions. Published reporting has called Green Sylhet the biggest cricket academy in the city, and names Rana Miah, a Bangladesh Cricket Board appointee for the district, as its coach.
In 2015 the academy won the Zakir Qureshi Memorial T20 at its own ground. Its man of the tournament, Nasum Ahmed, went on to bowl left-arm spin for Bangladesh.

A Sylheti middle-order batter who played Tests and ODIs for Bangladesh, and went to the 2006 Champions Trophy and the 2007 World Cup. He was regarded as one of the finest fielders of his generation.
